Before we jump in, as always, I just wanna say real quick, THANK YOU SO SO MUCH for any and all affiliate links that you may use throughout this post. I appreciate MORE THAN YOU know when you support the brands that help to support this little blog & our little fam!!
Also, a HUGE thanks to eBay for sponsoring today’s post and our fun bedroom makeover project!!
Yay!! It’s FINALLY finished!!! We wrapped up E’s bedroom makeover today and he couldn’t be happier with the results!!! (See my Instagram stories for his reaction 😂). I have to say y’all, this was one of the EASIEST projects I’ve ever done! Probably because there was very little paint or woodworking involved, lol. The “hardest” part was the peel and stick wallpaper I added, but even that wasn’t hard…just sticky 😂😂. Seriously though, this project now has me motivated to knock out my daughter’s bedroom next!
Step 1: Sprucing Up The Wall
Okay, so let’s jump in here! I took a timelapse video for y’all so you could watch exactly how easy it was to install the wallpaper! Self-adhesive, super easy to cut, and sticks to the wall like a champ! (Oh, and just for reference, here’s the before 🤦🏻♀️.)
The wall stickers come in roughly 2′ x 3′ squares and are a 3D foam material!!! They are SO COOL you guys!! I’ve used faux brick wallpaper before in our old house and it just came out very lackluster. I know the reason why was because it was just so flat with no dimension; and you could really tell, it was super obvious. Not with this stuff!! The 3D effect really makes it look real! I’m super impressed with it! Can you tell by my face?! 😂
Furniture
As far as furniture goes, we knew we didn’t wanna do anything too crazy (or too expensive) but we knew E at least needed a new bed. He’d just been using a basic metal bed frame for the last year and it was sooooooo boring lol. So, since I had such luck finding the wallpaper on eBay, I took to the site again to try and find a headboard/footboard combo to fit the look I was going for. This is what I found! What do y’all think?!
I knew I wanted him to have something masculine that wasn’t huge or loud. I also knew I wanted a mixture of textures (in this case wood and metal), and I wanted it to be simple with clean lines. Nailed it, right?!
Textiles
I’m not sure if you consider rugs part of “furniture”, (I usually do because I often have to move furniture to install them 😂), but I gave it it’s own category this time just in case you guys don’t, lol.
I loved how much this one brightened the room but still had hints of blue detail to bring in some color!
Finishing Touches
Once the wall, bed, and rug were done it was smooth sailing! Then I just hung some shelves I had leftover from when I used to have my farmhouse decor shop, installed a lamp, repurposed some old decor I wasn’t using along with some of E’s toys and voila! Super simple, affordable, and SUCH a transformation!!!
Isn’t this accordion lamp cool?! I love the industrial feel! Plus it’s GREAT for our bedtime stories!

What I Learned Through This Process
Okay, I have to brag on eBay for a second here (and NO it’s NOT because they were kind enough to sponsor this post today, lol). Y’all…THEY. HAVE. EVERYYYYYYTHING!!! I’ve been an eBay user and customer for as long as I can remember, but I have to be honest when I say I used to only go on there for a very specific purpose. Maybe there was something discontinued I had been looking for, or I wanted to sell some of my Halloween decor, I’d go to eBay. I had never really used it to browse and shop around. Well, y’all, I can honestly say I’ve been converted!!! Everything, literally everything, I purchased for this bedroom refresh was found on eBay! And even the older items I already had can be found there! #mindblown 🤯 Not only can you shop great home decor there, but often it’s cheaper than some of the other retailers! So much of what you can find now is brand new and they even offer a “Buy It Now” option where you don’t have to bid or go through the auction process. You can just click, pay, and it’s yours! I feel like I’ve been missing out y’all!
Oh, and don’t worry, I’ve made sure to link allll the items from the bedroom makeover below! Just click on the photo to shop the specific items. OR, you can just head over and browse the Home & Garden category! (We actually got our patio umbrella from eBay too, haha).

Okay, and the last thing I’ll say about my love affair with eBay is this: if you have any questions about a product, any at all, all you have to do is reach out to the seller directly! The responses are always super fast and you don’t have to wait for some generic auto-response that doesn’t even answer your question! Super user friendly! Okay, I’ll quit rambling now, but seriously, go check them out!
I’d love to know y’all’s thoughts on the bedroom project! Please share in the comments below! Oh, and if you know me, you know every room in my house is always a work-in-progress 😂. I still have plenty of ideas for the blank wall spaces in E’s room but if you have any inspo for me I’d love to hear/see it!!! Please share!
Talk soon buddies!
